US Announces the 18th Global Warming International Conference & Climate Change Exposition
Miami, FL - 2006-04-26 - The Global Warming International Center (GWIC) announces that the 18th International Global Warming Conference and Climate Change Industry Exposition (GW18) will be held at the Sheraton Convention Center in Miami, Florida on April 19 and 20, 2007. This meeting represents the oldest consistently sustained conference that is dedicated to the exchange of scientific data, governmental assessments, and public policies concerning global climate change, including global warming and extreme climate events. Attendees at the 2007 Conference will be delegates from around the world, representing academic institutions, the corporate sector, non-governmental organizations, and national, state and local governments. Public participation is highly encouraged. Students and secondary school teachers who wish to learn of recent developments in climate change scientific research will be exposed to invited plenary lectures and concurrent sessions followed by open workshop discussions with outstanding speakers and multi-disciplinary scientists. Open discussions are planned to consider the broad implications of climate change upon oceans, forests, coastal zones, urban settings, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, human health, and economic infrastructures at local, national, regional and global scales. Along with conference lectures and workshops, the Climate Change Industry Exposition at the Miami Mart Convention Center will include over 200 booths at which representatives from the transportation, energy, petroleum and bio-fuel industries will present their products and programs to address global climate change. Other corporations, environmental organizations and educational institutions will present information about their products, projects and training opportunities. Please mark your calendars for this important Convention and Exposition.
